Privacy Policy
Last updated: 9 June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Marine OS collects when you visit this marketing website or use the Marine OS product in early access, how we use that information, and the rights you have over it.
1. Who we are
Marine OS is a marina management software product currently in early access with US marina operators. The marketing site is published at marine-sky.vercel.app; the product is hosted at marine-os-lime.vercel.app. For any privacy-related questions, email support.marineos@gmail.com.
2. Information we collect
On the marketing site
- Analytics data: Google Analytics 4 collects standard page-view + session data — page URL, referrer, approximate location (country/city, not precise), device type, browser, time on page. This data is processed by Google on Google's infrastructure under their terms.
- Contact form data: If you book a demo, request a call, or contact us by email, we receive your name, email address, marina name, and any message you submit. This is stored in our email system and our CRM.
- Calendly bookings: If you book a call via our Calendly link, Calendly collects your name, email, and meeting preferences under Calendly's own privacy policy.
On the product (early access)
As an early-access user of the Marine OS product, additional data is processed: your account credentials, your marina's operational data (slips, customers, vessels, financials), payment information processed by Stripe, and standard application telemetry. Product-specific privacy terms are presented at sign-up and supersede this marketing-site policy for product usage.
3. How we use information
- To respond to your inquiries and provide the products / services you request.
- To improve the marketing site (which pages are working, which need clarification).
- To send relevant product updates if you've opted in.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
The marketing site uses cookies for Google Analytics. See our Cookies Policy for the full list and how to opt out.
5. Third-party services we use
- Google Analytics 4 — site analytics (see their privacy practices at policies.google.com)
- Google Search Console — search performance data (no personal info beyond aggregate query data)
- Calendly — call scheduling (when you click a demo link)
- Vercel — hosting infrastructure (logs include IP addresses for security purposes, retained briefly)
- Gmail — email communications
- Stripe — payment processing for product subscribers (early-access product only)
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion: ask us to delete data we hold about you (subject to legal retention obligations).
- Portability: receive your data in a portable format.
- Object: object to certain processing (especially marketing).
- Withdraw consent: for anything we process based on your consent.
Residents of the EU/EEA, UK, California, and certain other jurisdictions have additional rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA, and equivalent laws. Email support.marineos@gmail.com to exercise any of these rights and we'll respond within 30 days.
7. Data retention
We retain data only as long as needed for the purposes above or to comply with legal obligations. Analytics data is retained for 14 months by default in Google Analytics 4. Email correspondence is retained for up to 5 years. Product data retention for early-access users is governed by the product-specific terms.
8. Data security
We use commercially reasonable safeguards to protect personal information — HTTPS in transit, encryption at rest where applicable, role-based access controls, MFA on critical accounts. No system is 100% secure; we'll notify affected users in accordance with applicable law if a breach occurs.
9. International transfers
Marine OS is currently operated from India and uses cloud infrastructure (Vercel, Google) that may process data in the United States and other regions. By using the site, you consent to this transfer. EU/UK users: we rely on standard contractual clauses or other lawful mechanisms for transfers outside the EEA/UK.
10. Children
This site and product are not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
11. Changes to this policy
We'll update this policy as our practices evolve. The "Last updated" date at the top will change. Material changes will be communicated by email to active product users.
